Organizer: Kuala Lumpur Association of Veteran Athletes (KLAVA)
Date : 7th October 2007 (Sunday)
Venue : Kuala Selangor Nature Park, Kuala Selangor
Time : 7.30am
Introduction
This event is organized by the Sub-Committee Members (Road Races/Relay) of Kuala Lumpur Association of Veteran Athletes (KLAVA) to cater for both competitive as well as fun runners. While the elite runners may challenge for the top placing, the others may take it as a fun outing since POSITION medals will be awarded to all participants who completed the relay. So everyone come home a winner!
Kuala Selangor Nature Park is well known for its migratory bird watching as well as other wildlife whose habitat is in the mangrove swamp such as otters, monitor lizards, crabs, kingfishers and eagles. Other optional activities after the relay includes going up the nearby historical Bukit Melawati for panorama view of the coastal area: Kuala S'gor town; the old Lighthouse & sacred canons; feeding the exceptionally friendly monkeys (one of the species); lunch at popular seafood restaurant and shopping for local products such as fish balls, fresh seafood, dried shrimps and salted fishes etc.
This event is brought to you by fellow runners who understand what majority of runners want!
