Merdeka Day Celebration 2009
The Merdeka Day Celebration 2009 ceremony, which will be held at Dataran Parlimen, is expected to last about 40 minutes and public participation will be limited to only 8,600 people.
Some 6,000 people are also expected to line either side of the road from the Bank Negara roundabout till Parliament's entrance in conjunction with the celebration.
Jalan Parlimen, the approach road to Parliament House, will be closed in conjunction with the 52nd Merdeka Day celebration on Monday. The road will be closed from 7.30am till the ceremony ends.
